Day 01: Arrival back to top

Arrival transfer from the international airport to the hotel.

Night in Best Western Irazu hotel, Premier Room.

Best Western Irazu: It is ideally located just 10 minutes from San Jose's International Airport and five minutes from downtown. The hotel has 328 standard and premium rooms, all of them include wall−to−wall carpeting, air conditioning, cable TV, telephone, coffee maker, safe deposit box, internet access and a full bathroom with tub and hair dryer. Breakfast is included in Denny’s, one hour open bar daily (local drinks), 24 hours complementary coffee, free local calls, parking and offers additional services such as laundry and room service. The hotel features a large swimming pool, lighted tennis court, restaurant, bar, casino, souvenir shop, house gym, meeting rooms, and beautiful garden areas.


Day 02: San José − Tortuguero back to top

Early pick up from your hotel. Admire the biodiversity of an astonishing protected area in Costa Rica as the bus drives through Braulio Carrillo National Park. Stop on route to have a delicious typical breakfast. Be a special guest in a banana processing and packing plant and learn more about one of Costa Rica's prime product (subject to availability). Board a comfortable boat upon arrival to Caño Blanco pier and let this extraordinary exotic paradise enchant you, as you travel along the Tortuguero canals. Enjoy a refreshing cocktail and a delicious lunch as you arrive to the lodge. After lunch, visit to the picturesque town, the green turtle museum and the beach area. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

Night in Pachira Lodge, Standard room.

Pachira Lodge: It is located only five minutes away from the entrance to Tortuguero National Park.

Tortuguero


This wild and remote area is only accessible by boat or plane and it takes 5 to 6 hours by land and boat from San Jose. It offers 96 comfortable rooms with bamboo furniture and ceiling fans. The lodge has a nicely decorated restaurant, a bar, a a refreshing turtle−shaped swimming pool, beautiful gardens, ranchos with hammocks to enjoy the jungle and canal views and a modern fleet of boats and buses. Packages include shared ground and boat transfers, three meals a day, lodging and tours.


Day 03: Tortuguero back to top

After breakfast, guided walking tour through the trails. Free time before lunch. In the afternoon, visit to Tortuguero National Park exploring the canals in small, open boats to allow a better visibility. Dinner included.

NOTE: The order of the tours may change according to weather conditions. Optional night walk (not included in the package) from July to September to see the nesting of the green turtles.



Day 04: Tortuguero − Arenal back to top

After breakfast, shared boat transfer back to Caño Blanco and then shared ground transfer to Siquirres where you will take a shuttle bus to Arenal/La Fortuna. Lunch is included along the way.

Night in Arenal Springs hotel, Standard room.

Arenal Springs: It is located on the way to Arenal Volcano National Park, in a very quiet property, half a mile from the main road. The hotel has 87 Junior Suites including 12 especially designed for disabled guests, with view to the active side of the Arenal Volcano. Each room is surrounded with exotic gardens, beautiful flowers and many species of birds. All of them are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan, cable TV, telephone, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, safe deposit box and hair dryer. The hotel offers a restaurant, two swimming pools, wet bar, room service, laundry, internet access, trails, horseback riding tours and private parking for each room.



Day 05: Arenal back to top

Breakfast in the hotel. Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, take a shared tour to Arenal Volcano & Tabacón Hot Springs. Dinner is included. See from up close the activities of the great colossus, its constant emissions of gases, vapors of water and explosions of fireworks. Follow this with a fabulous and healthful bath in the hot springs.

Day 06: Arenal − Manuel Antonio back to top

Breakfast at the hotel. Take a shared ground transfer (by shuttle bus) from Arenal to Manuel Antonio.

The Central Pacific has the closest beaches from San José. They enjoy the characteristics of a very hot and humid climate, with a season of brilliant sunshine from December through the end of April and warm waters all year long. Hills covered with green forests compose the common landscape of the area. Some of the features which have made Manuel Antonio one of the places most preferred by tourists are white sand beaches, cliffs, rivers, rainforests, the large variety of animal life and climate.

Arenal − Manuel Antonio

Manuel Antonio National Park is home of the White Faced, Mantled Howler and Red−backed Squirrel monkeys, Two and Three Toad sloths, among other mammals, as well as a number of species of birds. Punta Catedral (cathedral point), the bay of Puerto Escondido (hidden port), and the beautiful beaches with blue green waters represent some of the main attractions of this park.

Night in Parador hotel, Garden room.

Parador: In the middle of a small private world, surrounded by gardens and tranquility, it is found Hotel Parador, near the famous Manuel Antonio National Park. It has 108 guestrooms of different categories, with balcony, air conditioning, cable TV, telephone, safe deposit box and hair dryer. The facilities included are: two restaurants, three bars, three swimming pools, Jacuzzi, spa, mini golf, tennis court, gift shop, conference room, internet access and parking.

Additionally, this resort offers a separate area for high−end customers with 30 stunning suites, concierge service, restaurant and swimming pool with Jacuzzi.

Day 07: Manuel Antonio back to top

Breakfast in the hotel. Morning shared tour to Manuel Antonio National Park. Afternoon at leisure.

Night in Parador hotel, Garden Room.

Day 08: Manuel Antonio − San José back to top

Breakfast in the hotel. At noon, take a shared ground transfer (by shuttle bus) from Manuel Antonio to San José.

Night in Best Western Irazu hotel, Premier Room.

Day 09: Departure back to top

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure transfer from the hotel to the international airport.
