United Airlines Announces New Flights from Chicago and Washington to Costa Rica

The Costa Rica Tourist Board (ICT) informed that United Airlines will have two new direct flights from Washington and Chicago to Costa Rica once a week from each city, currently, the airline has connections from New York and Houston to San Jose, but with these two new flights the airline expands its offering to the Central American country. The new routes will be operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 154 seats starting on April 13th, 2013.

"United Stated is the biggest generator of tourists traveling to Costa Rica and there are about 16 million potential tourists in that market, around 635,000 potential tourists live in Chicago and 407,000 in Washington, so this news is a spearhead to continue with the marketing work focused on increasing frequencies, new flights and attract new airlines to the country, "said Mr. Allan Flores, Minister of Tourism.
