JetBlue Airways announced plans to add daily nonstop flights between the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica, starting on June 27th, 2013.
The Minister of Tourism, Mr. Allan Flores said “the news reiterates the policy of attracting airlines promoted by ICT with great dynamism, guiding efforts to get closer to the major tourist markets for Costa Rica”.
JetBlue began operations in Costa Rica in March 2009 with a daily flight between Orlando and San Jose. Last year, the airline added one flight from the John. F. Kennedy International Airport in New York to Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, Guanacaste and this new announcement completes its third route between United States and Costa Rica.
