The event will take place from November 29th to December 12th, 2013 and consists of a 815 km route that goes from the Pacific to the Caribbean coast and from the Nicaraguan border to Panama border, between rural and tourist areas, mountains, rivers and beaches.
This competition will have at least 80 teams of four people each, from 30 countries and they must pass approximately 140 hours of challenges in mountain biking, rafting, trekking, kayaking, canopy, rappelling, canyoning using map and compass.
According to Mrs. Ireth Rodriguez, Marketing Director of the Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT), the selection of Costa Rica as the host of this event strengthens its position as an adventure destination where prevails a model of sustainable tourism development.
This activity will be the culmination of the Adventure Racing World Series which is the most prestigious sports circuit in this area.
