Commitment with the environment

For the first time in the Costa Rican history, a group of humbles fisherman how live in Gulf Dulce’s benefits in the south of the country. Will be a huge change in the way they fish, with the objective of obtain only positives consequences improving their fishing activity; besides they will be the new area guards with the main reason that these mistake will never be again affecting the habitat.

Federación Costarricense de Pesca TuristicaFederacion Costarricense de Pesca Turistica (FECOPT) was a great help in this project. Oficina de Cooperacion Internacional de Instituto Costarricense de Pesca y Acuicultura (Incopesca) formalized this project y declare the gulf as a Marine Area for Responsible Fishing (AMPR), which has 750 km2 the biggest in Central America.
