Since next December 1st, Limón will be just 30 minutes away from San José thanks to the most recent daily route of Nature Air. The airline, which offers 74 daily flights to 15 different Costa Rica destinations as well as flights to Managua and Bocas del Toro, Panama; will offer this air trip that aims to bring tourists to the culture, cuisine and people of our Caribbean at an affordable price, from $40 per flight.
This means that instead of taking a 3-and-a-half hour road trip, people who want to visit the pristine beaches of Manzanillo or surf the thrilling waves of Puerto Viejo, can take an internal flight where they can also enjoy the stunning aerial views of the lush Braulio Carrillo National Park.
Flights will depart from Juan Santamaria International Airport daily at 5:50 a.m. and they will reach their destination, Limón International Airport, at 6:20 a.m. In addition, a route from San José to Limón will be enabled, with a stopover in Tortuguero. This flight leaves Limón International Airport at 6:30 a. m. and lands in San José at 7:25 a.m.
“This important news enhances the Caribbean's tourism development, an area that holds the iconic culture coupled with a real natural sanctuary, home to wildlife refuges, national parks, biological reserves, coral reefs, among many other attractions”, said Wilhem von Breymann, Costa Rica’s Tourism Minister.
