Costa Rica tour package: A bit of everything (8days / 7 nights)

Day 01: Arrival transfer from the international airport to San Jose hotel. Overnight at Best Western Irazu hotel. Best Western Irazú: only 20 minutes from the Juan Santamaría International Airport and 15 minutes from the center of San José. It has two nuptial suites, a presidential suite, 14 suites, and 350 standard rooms. The available facilities are: bar, restaurant, swimming pool, casino, jewelry shop, tennis court, conferences rooms, and beauty shop.

Day 02: Breakfast. Arenal Volcano and Tabacón Resort one day tour. Few sites in Costa Rica inspire more respect and admiration than the Arenal Volcano. Sometimes lava can be seen flowing from its interior and, if Mother Nature permits, you will may have the pleasure of seeing a spectacular eruption. However, often the peak will be covered by clouds. Then visit the thermal waters of Tabacón where you will be able to benefit from their curing effects. Includes entrance fees, snack and dinner. Overnight at Best Western Irazu.

Day 03: Our trip begins early with breakfast at Rio Danta Restaurant and Private Reserve en route to the embarkation point of Matina. We drive through the spectacular rain forests of Braulio Carrillo National Park, just 30 minutes from San José, then visit a banana packing plantation (Mon - Fri weather permitting). Enjoy a buffet of tropical fruits at Matina before boarding a boat specially designed for canal navigation. A two-hour trip through the canals will take us to Mawamba Lodge...just in time for lunch! You will be at your leisure in the afternoon to experience the local culture and habitat, visit some of the area's wonderful natural attractions, walk the nature trails or just relax in a luxurious hammock. Our resident biologist will present a slide show on Tortuguero's natural history in the early evening and, in season, an optional night tour will take you to view the nesting turtles. (all meals included) Overnight at Mawamba Lodge.

Mawamba Lodge: this magical hotel is in Tortuguero, where the landscape becomes the best host to show you the most important natural wonders of the region. This hotel has 36 comfortable rooms with private baths, fans, hot water and rocking chairs. The facilities offered are: a family style restaurant, bar, swimming pool, a BBQ ranch and conference room. Entrance fee to the Tortuguero National Park is included.

Day 04: Early the next morning, we will explore the marvelous Tortuguero canals in smaller, open boats that will allow you better visibility for an even closer look at the flora and fauna in the smaller canals. Breakfast, You will be at your leisure in the afternoon(all meals included). Overnight at Mawamba Lodge.

Day 05: Breakfast. Early morning local flight back to San Jose. Once in San Jose we will provide a private transfer to the Pacific coast until we reach Manuel Antonio Area. Overnight at Casitas Eclipse hotel.

Casitas Eclipse: with an exotic design, its distinct architecture provides marvelous views of the adjacent landscapes of nature. Located in Manuel Antonio, the hotel has standard rooms, equipped with fans, air conditioning, private baths and hot water. The suites have these same accommodations plus kitchens and sitting rooms. The hotel offers: three swimming pools, bar, restaurant and tours in the area.

Day 06: Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the beach or take optional tours. Overnight at Casitas Eclipse.

Day 07: Breakfast. Shuttle bus transfer back to San Jose. Overnight at Best Western Irazu hotel. Day 08: Breakfast. Departure transfer from the hotel to the international airport.
