Mountain Bike ride:
For the adventurous who wish to explore a part of the rain forest,
the Arenal volcano and lake, as well as a mountain road on bicycle,
this ride offers an excellent scenery. Observe a large variety of
birds, as well as howler monkeys and red coati. This takes approximately
four hours. Includes transportation, assisting vehicle, bicycles,
snacks, drinks, water and cookies.
Canopy in
the area:
Experience the forest of this region from a completely different
perspective, gliding from steel cables that take you where the majority
of the birds and many animals spend most of their time: the treetops.

Venado Caverns:
The caverns were formed in the Miocene period some fifteen to twenty
million years ago. For a long time they were submerged in the depths
of the ocean, however, due to the movement of tectonic plates, the
caverns rose to form part of the surface. Discover in one visit
the limestone rock, stalactites, stalagmites and corals which make
up the caves. Located only an hour from La Fortuna, these caverns
offer an unforgettable underground mystical adventure. If you're

The Arenal Hanging Bridges: Located within the corridor followed by birds migrating between North and South America, the trails and bridges of this project will bring you as close as you could ever hope to get to the birds, the flowers and the lush vegetation of the primary rain forest. You will be able to walk right into the forest, thanks to the imposing hanging bridges and the beautiful trails that are safe and easy to walk on. Choose from a half day tour, the early birds trip or a night walk.
Day Hike to the Arenal Volcano:
Our Arenal Volcano hike through the rainforest is one of the best
ways to experience the mighty "Mountain of Fire." Hike
through the diverse flora and fauna to the famous lava wall where
you will walk on lava rocks from ancient times and observe lava
boulders tumbling down the flanks of Arenal. You could get the chance
to see the glowing cinders from the crater and hear the booms from
gas eruptions as your professional guide educates you on the activity
and history of the marvelous volcano. A dip in the Tabacon Resort
hot springs after the hike is available upon request (entrance fee
to Tabacon Resort is not included).

Section:
A delightful day, more than 20 rapids in a spectacular setting in
the tropical rain forest. Sarapiquí is the rafters dream;
natural whitewater, challenging rapids and crystal clear pools.
Enjoy the natural splendor and abundant wildlife. Distance for section
around 11 kilometers each one Duration: all day three and a half-hours

Canopy Tour:
The Canopy Tour begins at the Group Reception area next to the
Tabacon Spa. The tour itself consists of a series of platforms mounted
in the trees of the nearby rainforest, across the road from Tabacon
Spa, located between the hotel and the new Las Fuentes Spa. The
visitor moves from platform to platform using high-angle equipment
and techniques on a new system designed especially for this location.
There are 8 platforms, 2 horizontal traverses (zip lines), 2 rappels
and an inclined glide from the treetops down to poolside at the
Las Fuentes Spa.

Recommended Comfortable clothing that you don•t mind getting
a little dirty is recommended. Most of our clients do the tour in
shorts, T-shirt and tennis shoes. Long pants are fine, but skirts
or dresses are not recommended. Closed-toe shoes are recommended,
however strap-on sandals are acceptable. Bare feet are not permitted.
During the rainy season, lightweight rain gear is recommended. Insect
repellent is also recommended.
Includes the entrance to Las Fuentes Spa, where you can soak away
all your stress in the many hot water pools.
Fishing
on the Arenal Lake:
Enjoy a day of fishing during which you may catch Guapote, the
great fighter of the lake. Arenal Lake is a place that counts
with many natural attractions and from which you can watch the
impressive eruptions of ash and lava of Arenal Volcano. This
excursion is by motorboat and can take half to a full day. Includes

Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge:
Birdwatchers and nature lovers, this is the tour for you! This all
day trip takes you to the mighty Rio Frio near the Caño Negro
Wildlife Refuge. One of our professional bilingual guides will pick
you up at your hotel and take you to the small town of Los Chiles
near the Nicaraguan border. Here we will begin our three-hour ride
up the Rio Frio in search of sloths, caimans, lizards, tropical
birds, various species of monkeys and much more in the surrounding
lush rainforest and wetlands. You will be amazed with the beauty
as your guide shows and teaches you about the marvels of the wildlife,
vegetation, ecology and culture of this tropical paradise. It certainly
is a learning experience and one not to miss. A typical Costa Rican

Arenal Volcano at Dusk & Tabacon Hot Springs Tour: This

Horseback riding to the La Fortuna waterfall:
This tour offers the perfect combination of beautiful sightseeing
and physical activity. We begin with an easy and scenic horseback
ride from La Fortuna to the entrance of the waterfall. After viewing
the magnificent 40-meter waterfall from a distance, we descend on
a challenging hike through the dense rainforest where you will see
amazing specimens of flora. The hike will bring us to the base crystal
blue pool the waterfall pours into where you will be able to take

Celeste River Hike: Tenorio Volcano National Park: The Celeste River zone is one of the most beautiful areas of Costa Rica. This tour is a fascinating adventure combining a discovery of nature's magic with the chance to observe wonderful flora and fauna. The tour lasts approximately 10 hours all together and on clear days it's possible to get a view of the Arenal, Tenorio and Miravalles Volcanoes and sometimes even Lake Nicaragua.
