Rincón de la Vieja canopy tour and natural spa: Ideal for the adventurous! Get up close to the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano and admire the primary forest in a unique way, sliding by steel cables within the canopy of the forest. A short walk will take you to the first platform where you will begin the adventure, which lasts approximately three hours, observing the forest from this new perspective. After a delicious lunch, a horseback ride will take you to the thermal hot springs, a natural spa at the foot of the volcano. Enjoy the curative benefits of the mud and these waters.

Palo Verde National Park - Tempisque River:
Palo Verde is one of the most important and interesting National Parks in Costa Rica. It has at least 12 different habitats within the park including: mangroves, swamps, swamps forests, saltwater and freshwater lagoons and marshes. In this tour you will go through two antique villages: Bolson and Ortega, then we get into the Tempisque River, the most important river of the Guanacaste. On this river you will enjoy a two and a half hours boat ride. From the boat, watch the fabulous array of wild birds and a myriad of creatures such as howler monkeys, green iguanas and coatis, anteaters and crocodiles. The park provides shelter for a great variety of birds such as the American Woodstock, the Roseate Spoonbill, the Boat-billed Heron, the Tiger Heron and the Tropical Kingbird. This is a great tour for those who love nature and bird watching!!!

Santa Rosa National Park: Combination of an extensive dry forest with history. The cattle ranch "La Casona" , found here, was the site of an important battle in the history of Costa Rica. La Casona was converted into a museum and houses valuable historic relics. On this tour you will enjoy a hike through the tropical dry forest to admire the great variety of wildlife in the area. At lunch time you will be taken to Liberia, the capital of the province of Guanacasate. Lunch and entrance fee included.

Corobici River Floating / Cañas, Guanacaste. Class I-II:
This classic float trip is perfect for any client, especially birdwatchers and nature lovers. The scenery and wildlife along the Corobicí are legendary. As you leisurely raft along this tranquil river, you might spot one of the more than 300 species of birds from the nearby Palo Verde National Park. Among the more commonly seen birds are ospreys, kingfishers, cormorants, and blue, tiger and boat-billed herons. Other wildlife in the area includes otters, howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, iguanas and many other types of lizards. A delicious native-style lunch will be served at La Pacifica resort after you finish rafting. This is the calmest rafting trip in Costa Rica, suitable for everyone from children to the elderly, and is a must in combination with your additional tours to Guanacaste beaches or Monteverde. Difficulty Moderate. Class III rafting: Rapids with high irregular waves; narrow passages that often require complex maneuvering.

Participant Requirements: Anyone in normal healthy physical condition. Swimming experience is required. Minimum age 12 years old.

Recommended on the river, rubber-soled shoes that can get wet (Tevas, tennis shoes, booties or similar), swimsuit / swim trunks; t-shirt and shorts of a quick-drying material, waterproof sunscreen lotion (SPF 15 or higher), sun hat or bandana, croakies or straps to secure glasses. Clothing change for after your rafting tour, towel , complete change of clothing including shoes.

Buena Vista Canopy and Natural Spa:
Buena Vista is located near by Rincon de la Vieja National Park. In this tour you will enjoy the primary forest on a different way: trails built up in the top of the trees (about 105 feet high). A small hike takes you to the first platform, from there you start swinging to the other 12 platforms, which are connected by 9 cables from 150 to 400 feet long. During the canopy, that last almost three hours, you will have the opportunity to observe the surrounding forest from a new perspective…. just like Tarzan!! After having lunch at the Lodge, we start the second part of the tour: Horseback riding to the thermal waters, steam bath and natural spa, located at the foot of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. Here, you will enjoy the rejuvenating treatments with volcanic mud and mineral waters. On your way there you will enjoy the wildlife of a transitional forest ( between dry and rain forest), where you might be able to spot monkeys, squirrels and a variety of butterflies and birds such as wood peckers and toucans.

Rincon Costa Rica
Rincón de la Vieja National Park:
This National Park was created to protect the biodiversity around Rincon de la Vieja Volcano area. It extends over 14083 hectares of semi-deciduous forest and very moist forest and includes a barren rocky terrain at altitudes that range from 1950 feet to 5748 feet above sea level on the Caribbean and Pacific sides of the Guanacaste Volcanic Mountain Range. Fumaroles, hot mud pools and the eerie steam holes of Las Pailas create an amazing landscape. This is a hiking tour that takes about an hour and 45 minutes to get to La Cangreja Waterfall which is about 195 feet high and is located on a rocky terrain devastated by the volcanic eruptions. The tour not only provides the opportunity to appreciate Rincon de la Vieja´s geothermal wonders, it also allows a close view of an ancient forest hundreds of years old. Huge trees protect spider monkeys, leaf-cutter ants, toucans and all kind of great and small creatures.

The Congo Trail Canopy Tour (Canopy Cartagena):
This canopy is located in a little town named Artola very close Ocotal Beach, El Coco, Hermosa Beach, Conchal Beach, Tamarindo and Flamingo. After one hour driving approximately, we arrive at the site, where a tropical – dry forest and its high trees are surrounded the area. Once we get there the tour guides will get you ready for the ride of your life. After a short hike we will come to the first platform, ready for instructions to start flying down the suspended cables. During the tour we will come across a walk bridge between two platforms, this is a truly exhilarating and exciting experience. If we are lucky even the Howler Monkeys will be our company during a part of the canopy.

Guaitil Pottery and shopping San Cruz:
Guaitil is a small village located just outside Santa Cruz, the primary center of Costa Rican folklore. In this town, people make clay pots by hand, decorate them with the earth´s natural colors and fire them in giant wood-burning ovens, just as their ancestors, the Chorotega Indians, did. The Chorotegas, is a group of Indians who ruled the land between Lake Nicaragua and the Nicoya Peninsula. Here, pottery will be shown in all kind of shapes and sizes. Learn about Guanacaste´s watching the pottery works. You will visit Santa Cruz and if we get there by lunch time, you will have the chance to visit a really typical guanacastecan restaurant ( lunch is not included).

Los Inocentes Hacienda:
Los Inocentes is a beautiful cattle Hacienda that gives you the opportunity to enjoy abundant wildlife and panoramic views. This Hacienda features a traditional Finca house made from the most select native woods such as Caoba, Cristobal and Guapinol. While doing a two and a half hours horse back riding tour, you will pass by different creeks and have the chance to see the Orosi Volcano. During the ride, some of the exciting animals you may see are toucans, wild parrots, howler and spider monkeys, white-faced capuchins, sloths and woodpeckers. Arenal Volcano Combo:
This perfectly cone shaped volcano raises 4.899 feet above the sea level. It has been active since 1968, when it made its largest eruption. Its loud rumblings and frequent explosions of lava and ash during the day create a show that will stun you from miles away. On your way there, you will ride through the heavenly landscape of Lake Arenal, a man made lake that provides water for an hydroelectric plant and for irrigation in the low lands of Guanacaste province during the dry season. As an option, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a hiking tour at the surroundings of the volcano, in an overview area called El Silencio. After that, you will experience the mineral hot springs of the Tabacon Spa. After nightfall, the glow of flowing lava can be seen from several points in the area (if it´s not cloudy). During the tour it is possible to spot toucans, guans, oropendolas, monkeys and coatis.
