The Regional Office of the Costa Rica Tourist Board (ICT) in Guanacaste started their way to get their blue flag. In May they had a campaign of cleaning and collection of waste in Chipanzo and Morote rivers with the environmental group of Coopeguanacaste R.L., MINAET and the Nicoya group Los Tucanes.
In July, they participated in a campaign of planting trees in different schools also gave talks in schools and communities about the importance of recycling and the Programa Bandera Azul Ecológica (PBAE). With these actions, among others to be held during the year this regional office seeks to obtain the three-star Blue Flag in category: Actions to face the climate change in the period 2011. |
