Excellent results in the first semester evaluation
Following our commitment to improve every day, we have made several evaluations in different service areas of the company for the first semester 2011 (January to June). Some of the considered indicators were response time in the different areas of sales, satisfaction, and comments from clients. We are very happy for the results we got from these analysis, that confirm that we achieved 100% effectiveness in the services provided to our clients, according to our management system. This motivates us to keep working hard and giving our best effort every day to provide the best service to our customers. RedPEA Activity The Costa Rican Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO and the Program of Associated Schools (RedPEA) organized a contest called “Las Huellas de Nuestra Identidad” (The Footprints of Our Identity), and the main topic was Afro-descent culture. The competition is for teenagers from 107 public and private high schools across the country, focused on integral education and sustainable development. Travel Excellence supported this activity giving a prize to one of the 3 winners, we also thank Grupo Mawamba for their support. Activity: Donation to Schools in Alajuela At the end of June 2011, Travel Excellence and other tourism enterprises financially supported the Juan Rafael Meoño Hidalgo School and the Marta Saborio Special School in Alajuela, educational institutions that work to educate children with special needs. In total the donation was ? 120,000; which were used to celebrate the “middle” year vacations and also to purchase educational materials to improve the teaching of these children. Cleaning Day Collaboration In the last two years September has become in the official month of the year to campaign for collecting waste on beaches. It is for this reason that Travel Excellence in conjunction with other tour operators joined Terra Nostra and Oceana Conservancy, to perform "The Campaign" $ 150 ". The purpose is to contact 100 companies and get the donation of that amount to Terra Nostra and with that money they organize the clean up activities across the entire country in the month of September 2011. Working on the SIGEG Certification The National Women's Institute of Costa Rica (INAMU) pretends to improve the quality of employment for Costa Rican women, that's why they have created the Certification System for Equality and Equity of Gender (SIGEG). This is an organizational management system that aims the gradual elimination of gender gaps in employment, and also seeks value and potential of women, becoming a competitive advantage for organizations in these times that we understand that human resource is a key component that adds value to the organization. Travel Excellence has joined this program as part of the growth of the organization and are working to achieve the SIGEG certification, we hope to be certified soon and will inform when we finish this new process; we are sure it will be beneficial to the company. |
