The Spanish chain RIU Hotels and Resorts decided to invest in a second hotel in Guanacaste province, right next to the existing one, this time the property will be a RIU Palace, the most luxurious of the four ranges they have. Like the first hotel they have right now, the RUI Palace will be a five stars hotel.
The construction has begun and if the building goes as planned, the opening would be late 2012 or early 2013. The RIU Palace will feature 538 rooms, its architecture and decoration will be like a palace, the main market will be high-end guests and the target audience will be more specific, since it is more focused on couples who wish to enjoy a romantic holiday. There are 19 of these hotels in seven countries around the world and Costa Rica would be the third in Latin America where this hotel chain will have a property of this category. |
