The Caribbean province will receive at least 4 local flights per week starting on July. The initiative is part of the project 'Limón Ciudad Puerto' and it will be handled by Sansa airline, the Costa Rica Tourist Board (ICT), the Chamber of Commerce Industry and Tourism Limón, the local governments and the director of Limón airport Norma Christy.

This project aims to revitalize the province and some of the benefits of the program "Limón Ciudad Puerto” is to promote the development of micro and small businesses and create more job opportunities.
