Here are a few simple guidelines:

Stay on the trails. Leave nothing behind, except your footprints. Don’t collect anything, including flowers, seeds and rocks. Avoid disturbing wild animals, especially when they’re courting, nesting and feeding. Don’t feed monkeys or other wild animals. Observe nesting sea turtles only with a qualified guide. Hire local guides, buy local crafts, patronize local hotels and restaurants, and support projects that benefit the local community.

• Do not buy wildlife. Buy only handicrafts made from natural products that are commercially grown, or from a renewable resource, such as wood.

• Be sensitive to the local culture and traditions, and willing to interact with local people, so that the tourism activity is a positive experience for everybody involved.



• Support conservation programs.
