I am traveling in Costa Rica, through the North Pacific coast, knowing so many exciting places and people. There's so much to do here, from visiting Costa Rica volcanoes and the dry forest with perfect weather conditions, to the most beautiful beaches where you can do a perfect all inclusive tour package and relax. This small country is amazing, with so many places at such short distances between them, like Tamarindo, Playa Grande and Langosta, which I recently knew.

Another recommendation from my friends was Ocotal Beach. It is located at the town with the same name, 2 miles south from Playa El Coco, not so far from the Liberia International Airport. Ocotal is a quiet, very clean beach, and one of the best places for snorkeling and scuba diving.

It is a small beach, about one third of a mile long, surrounded by rocky hills and cliffs, being the product of the volcanic activity of the Central Divide volcanoes, like the Miravalles and Rincon de la Vieja, which are close. The beach is surrounded also by dry forests in front of the sea and the white sand, and its clear water is what makes it perfect for scuba and snorkeling. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica.

I decided to go to the nearby Catalina island for a diving tour, and it was a great experience. The most impressive creature that I saw was a giant manta ray, and several types of sea rays can be seen, along with fishes and other marine life.

Ocotal has good Costa Rica Resorts. If you look for Costa Rica cheap hotels, you can stay at El Coco, which has a wider offer. Nonetheless, from El Coco you can easily get to Ocotal and Panama beach, which I will visit soon and let you know about.
