Manuel Antonio National Park:
The natural trails in the park will take you to the interior of
the forest to observe the variety of flora and fauna, including
white-faced capuchin monkeys, raccoons, species of rodents and birds.
You will also have time to take a dip in the warm waters of the
Pacific.

Canopy Chiclets:
The Chiclets Canopy Tour is located in Playa Hermosa, Jacó.
It is only 2 hours from San José and 45 minutes from
Manuel Antonio National Park. Using the highest quality equipment
(pulley, harnesses and climbing gear) you will glide between
platforms on the cables with breath taking views of the canopy,
forest floor and animals. Before you run into the forest, the
guides are going to teach you how the Canopy works, after this
short lesson you will learn how to operate the canopy equipment;
now you' are ready to go. The adventure begins with a 10 minute
walk through the Primary and Secondary Rain Forest. You will
have a ground view to the beach. The tour consists of 13 suspended
platforms connected with eleven steel cables and a suspended
bridge high above the forest floor, the total length is around
one thousand two hundred meters (+3500 ft). The height of the
platforms vary from 60 to 120 feet above the ground. The complete
tour lasts approximately 2 hours |

Tortuga Island:
Visit one of the islands of white-sands most visited in the
Gulf of Nicoya. During the trip in yacht, relax enjoying some tropical
fruits, live music, and the beautiful scenery that this gulf displays.
Once on the island, you will have time to swim, canoe, play volleyball
and savor a delicious lunch.
Naranjo River :
A class III/IV half day challenge for more experienced paddlers,
this river drops steeply from the mountains above Quepos, through
a beautiful jungle gorge and takes you on a wild ride to sea level
by farmlands and palm plantations. Water levels can rise quickly,
increasing the difficulty of the rapids, so rafters should be physically
fit and adventurous. Fruit snacks are provided during the adventure.

Savegre Rafting :
This full-day adventure kicks off with a 4-wheel drive trip into
the remote valley that is home to the Rio Savegre. Perfect for all
experience levels, the river offers an exciting selection of class
II, III, and IV rapids as well as pristine waterfalls, swimming
holes, and a remarkable variety of birds including egrets, toucans,
osprey, parrots, kingfishers and cormorants. A "Tico"
style lunch is hosted at the local small village.

Tortuga Island with Breeze Cruises:
This beautiful island is located at the southeastern tip of the
Gulf of Nicoya, in front of Curu Point. It covers 120 hectares and
reaches a height of 172 meters above sea level. Tortuga Island is
composed of Dry Tropical forest. This typically means low rainfall
levels and high temperatures and a long dry season. This forest
has a canopy that is 30 meters high and the underbrush is sparse.
Amongst the main ecosystems, the flora and fauna that is found includes
the Candle tree, Anicillo, popularly known as black pepper, the
monkey's ladder, Figg, andpink poui tree (tabebuia). It is normal
to find pacas while walking the trails as well as a great variety
of birds.

Punta Coral Cruise with Calypso Cruises:
You will board the World Famous yacht Calypso, gleaming with varnished
hardwoods and polished brass, for the 1½ hour cruise to Punta
Coral.
Accessible only by boat, Punta Coral is the eastern-most tip of
the Peninsula of Nicoya. Located in front of the Islas Negritos
Biological Reserve (a pre-Columbian Indian burial ground), this
privately owned point of dry tropical forest has a quiet beach and
a valley filled with flowering plants on one side and interesting
rock formations and numerous caves on the other.
Spend the late morning on the easy to walk nature trails. The many
varieties of trees and interesting plants are labeled and the ocean
views are spectacular. There are numerous producing fruit trees
on the property which provide food for the wild animals native to
the area. Troops of black-faced howler monkeys, yellow naped amazon
parrots, a variety of humming birds and butterflies call this special
place "Home".

Crocodile Safari:
At Tarcoles River, we will take boat ride with Jungle Crocodile
Safari up the Grande de Tárcoles River and into the heart
of crocodile territory. This is a 2 hours adventure tour. This is
a very interesting ride, great for birders and for taking close-up
photos of some very large reptiles. This boat ride will take around
the Carara Biological Reserve, and will give a different look of
the Reserve.

Half day
of Horseback Riding in the Rain Forest: Enjoy a half day of
horseback riding in the scenic countryside of Quepos, full of traditional
crops and cattle ranches. Do not forget your swimsuit to take a
dip in the pool of a beautiful waterfall along the road. For the
birdwatchers, we recommend taking the horseback ride during the
afternoon. Snacks and lunch included.
Nauyaca Waterfalls:
Two hours by car from Quepos, you arrive to the entrance of
the trail where your breakfast awaits. After breakfast a 45 minute
walk takes you to the waterfall where you will be able to enjoy
the clear waters and take photographs. After a swim, relish a delicious
lunch.
In search
of Dolphins: Take a boat ride and be marveled by the mysterious
islands which form part of this national park and where numerous
species of shorebirds and their young are to be found. Count
the variety of dolphins and whales which proliferate behind
the islands while learning interesting facts about the national
park and the Quepos Indians. |

Kayaking the Damas Island Estuary:
Paddle the smooth protected inland waterways and explore the unique
ecosystem of an island mangrove. Abundant with wildlife, the Damas
area also offers a swimming beach and a great seafood restaurant
for lunch.

Manuel Antonio National Park:
Manuel Antonio National Park is deservedly the most popular park
in Costa Rica with beautiful white sand beaches surrounded by emerald
waters and jungle. Our naturalist guides will explain the history
and geography of the area as well as help you get the most of your
visit, pointing out sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and a multitude of
insects and birds during this very informative three hour walk.

Carara National Park:
This 4700-hectare reserve is the northern most tropical wet forest
on the Pacific Coast and is accessible within a 90 minute drive
from Quepos. Surrounded by agricultural land, it forms an oasis
for wildlife from a large surrounding area. This tour offers a two
and a half hour hike with a naturalist guide through the richly
biodiverse reserve as well as a chance to see the sweeping rice
fields, African palm plantations and local cattle ranching. In addition
to the wildlife inside the reserve, large crocodiles can often be
spotted in the Rio Tarcoles adjacent to the Park.

This is a more challenging open ocean paddle along the rugged coastline
from Quepos to the Manuel Antonio National Park. Paddle by islands
that are nesting sites for unique coastal birdlife including boobies
and frigatebirds, visit the secluded Biesanz Bay and surf kayak
at Espadilla beach. A 'Tico' style lunch is hosted at the end of
the tour, near the entrance to the national park.

Carara Biological
Reserve: One hour from Quepos, includes a two hour hike on trails
where you will appreciate the flora and fauna of the reserve. Ideal
for those who arrived in Quepos by airplane and did not have the
opportunity to see the beauties along the road from San José
to Quepos. Entrance fee, snacks and lunch included.
Outrigger
Canoeing:
Pristine Beaches and calm seas await you on the Rafting the Ocean
experience. You will paddle next to spectacular cliffs, in a guided
40-foot long outrigger canoe with 8 paddlers plus a guide in each
canoe, to a secluded beach. Maybe even take a dip in the deep blue
sea along the way. The warm waters of the Pacific are home to a
large variety of tropical fish that are looking forward to swimming
with you as you snorkel and explore the underwater world with your
guide. Relax on the beach, as lunch is prepared, surfside. Optional
hikes make this a great day for everyone, before paddling back to
the starting point where you can shower, change and enjoy refreshments
before your return to San Jose. Snorkeling only when conditions
permit. Minimum 6 persons from San Jose. Minimum 4 persons from
Jaco Beach. It can be locally consolidated. Minimum of age, 4 years
